Dan Garodnick
WFP ought to learn how to pick their battles
Seriously.
I also had a WFT moment after I read Michael's post about the WFP. I coincidentally had just finished talking to Dan Garodnick who is also calling for a strategic voting under the WFP banner, but in this case the candidate is Eliot Spitzer.
As you all know, Dan is my NYC Councilman, neighbor and the man who has taken it upon himself to fight the uphill battle of maintaining the already existing affordable housing we have in New York City.
So I called Garodnick to confirm if he had indeed lent his name to a flyer I got under my door the other day. It seems like it was circulated by the Stuyvesant Town Tenants' Association and it's asking for people to vote for Eliot Spitzer under the banner of the Working Families Party, instead of the Democratic Party.
Echoing what is already on the flyer, this is what he had to say:

Fun with PhotoShop

There is a whole process to vlogging that I find totally unsatisfying. I hate editing and I hate compressing files for better streaming because it takes too long and I want to put thing up on the web NOW! The upside of editing and going through frames is that you get to crack yourself up with the body language of your subjects.
Case in point : I could spend hours watching Christine Quinn talk ... with the volume off. Check her out. She looks like she's singing --although I suggest she get a voice coach because she strains her voice during speeches. Girlfriend, breathe!
Then it's not even anything they're doing.

I happen to like the camera perspective on these photos
of Sylvia Friedman and Al Doyle.
And then, there is Mark Green...

More after the jump.

Stuy Town Press Conference - Dan Garodnick

An anonymous tipster alerted me of this press conference and so, I was part of ... ahem ... New York City's media taping the whole thing. It was fun to see Dan in all his incumbent glory dealing with the heavy issue of the selling of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper.
Dare I say he sounds ... ahem ... mayoral. This is a guy NYC Democrats ought to keep an eye on for taking back City Hall in 2009.

Hi. My name is Liza Sabater and I endorse Dan Garodnick for City Council
Not to be self-referential or anything but this bears repeating.
Garodnick told me during his door-to-door that he wanted to set a record and visit all 100 buildings. He sincerely enjoys what most politicians seem to hate --the shaking of hands, the knocking on doors, the tete-a-tetes. He really beamed when he said, "I'm going for a record. I don't think any politician has visited the 100 building in this place. I'm going for it."
And just for that enthusiasm (and his impressive background), Dan Garodnick has my vote.
