The convention is almost here, and New Yorkers are boarding the planes to Denver in their hordes. Among these hordes are several bloggers, including myself, Liza, Phil Anderson and Rock Hackshaw, who is the officially accredited state blogger.

In short, you'll get variegated and idiosyncratic - no doubt - coverage of the Denver mega-jamboree here, over at Albany Project, at culturekitchen, and on a host of other Democratic sites. Since Liza and myself are being sponsored by a fashion company - along with some really excellent writers like Katie Halper, Baratunde, and others - you could also check out Kenneth Cole's Awearness blog.

Most of the blog pack will be in residence at The Big Tent, a joint effort of the blogosphere; we have an extra pass, so we should be able to smuggle in the Daily News' Liz Benjamin and, if we can somehow make him inconspicuous, our pal Rock as well.

Fittingly, the drumbeat to the mayhem begins on the front page of the New York Times style section, featuring a profile of none other than my friend Phil Anderson and - drumroll - of Molly, the awesomest blog dog ever. As they say, the cream always rises to the top.
