WHAT KIND OF SUPREME COURT SHOULD WE HAVE We are going to have a national debate about this. Whoever is now appointed to the Supreme Court will affect every aspect of our lives for decades to come. Do we want a stealth reactionary like Roberts who can't even be candid about his membership in the Federalist society where we now know he was one of the movers and shakers on their steering committee? Will we allow a more unpopular than ever president ride roughshod over the American people yet again? The appellate opinion which affirmed the requirement of the reporters to testify included the very strong suggestion that serious crimes had indeed taken place, based on the filings they had already seen.
