WHAT KIND OF SUPREME COURT SHOULD WE HAVE

We are going to have a national debate about this. Whoever is now appointed to the Supreme Court will affect every aspect of our lives for decades to come. Do we want a stealth reactionary like Roberts who can't even be candid about his membership in the Federalist society where we now know he was one of the movers and shakers on their steering committee? Will we allow a more unpopular than ever president ride roughshod over the American people yet again? Not if we all speak out.

THE VALERIE PLAME OUTING SCANDAL

The special prosecutor in the Rove leak case will continue to do his duty. The appellate opinion which affirmed the requirement of the reporters to testify included the very strong suggestion that serious crimes had indeed taken place, based on the filings they had already seen. But whether there are indictments or convictions of Rove and others, we must demand they lose their security clearances (and therefore also their jobs) immediately, before they can do any more damage to our national security.
