Republican Party

Park Avenue to be turned into Pinocchio (politics) Land thanks to John McCain

Pinocchio Politics in NYC

There is a protest today in front of The Waldorf-Astoria brought to you by PinocchioPolitics.org.

They are staging a "Lie-in" at 10:30am at the Waldorf, where they are trying their best to have Sarah Palin meet with foreign leaders behind closed doors and without any media scrutiny.

I actually have to go up that way today. I'll drop by around 11am and see what's going on.

More later.

Via the comments on The Albany Project comes something striking. First, this map:

NYS Party breakdown

The shades of red - pink, really - and blue represent the registration advantages of either party in the State of New York by county. Think that looks good for the republic party? It doesn't.

This map:

NYS party shift

...shows the shift in party registration between 1996 and 2007. Credit goes to Ortcutt over at TAP, who crunched the numbers.
