Introducing Central Brooklyn Eating Liberally April 13

Marjorie Gersten and I are co-hosting a new Living Liberally Group in Brooklyn: Central Brooklyn Eating Liberally. We are in the process of making it official, but official or not, our first meeting is April 13 at 7 PM at Kombit Kreyol, 279 Flatbush Ave (near St. Mark's Ave). It is between the Atlantic Ave and 7th Ave train stations. If you take the 2 or 3 the Bergen St. Station is closest. It would help if people can let me know if they are coming, but feel free to show up even if you don't tell me in advance.

Living Liberally motto: “Progressive action through social interaction.”

Living Liberally is a non-partisan organization and does not officially endorse candidates. That doesn't mean candidates and politicians can't attend or that members can't choose to recruit and work for candidates. Members can make any suggested actions they want and members can coordinate as much as they want. But the group as a whole will not be endorsing.

Our goals are simple: discuss and organize around our liberal and progressive values, support some local businesses, and enjoy some good food.

The next meeting will be Tuesday May 4th at 7 PM at Dao Palate, 329 Flatbush Avenue between Park Place and Prospect Place. Dao Palate is vegetarian. I wanted at least one vegetarian restaurant in the mix of restaurants we go to and this is a good one.
