I recently warned people about a visitation from right wing, anti-gay, anti-Jewish, anti-Catholic fanatics from Kansas (that I dubbed the Kansan Dickheads) threatening to sweep through NYC on a three day protest tour targeting schools, synagogues and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The scope of the protests was impressive, targeting multiple places per day. The nastiness of their rhetoric was also impressive, basically calling for the rape and destruction of Israel, the destruction of Jews, and the destruction of gays.

These folks arrived today and their first day of protests was, to put it mildly, unimpressive. They seem to be rather impotent when it comes to being Dickheads. Here is the description from the Brooklyn Paper (itself owned by right wing fanatic and hatemonger Rupert Murdoch who inspires people like the Kansan Limp Dickheads) of the first day of Dickhead protests:

About five members of the Westboro Baptist Church, whose mission is represented clearly in its Web site address, www.godhatesfags.com, rallied for about 15 minutes outside Brooklyn Technical HS, holding signs reading, “Fags are beasts” and “God is your enemy.”

It is unclear why the church chose Brooklyn Tech, but its Web site suggested that the school teaches that “it’s OK to be gay.”

“WBC will teach the rebels of Brooklyn what good looks like, and you had better behave,” the church said.

Five people. And they will teach Brooklyn what good looks like? Sounds more like they are teaching Brooklyn what LAME looks like. What CHUMPS! That is the best they can do? Five people telling some of the smartest kids in NYC that God is their enemy. Big fucking deal.

So, to these Kansan Limp Dickheads, I have this message: BITE ME! I suspect most of Brooklyn would join me in that.
