Heard about this earlier, but got confirmation this evening.
This coming week Howard Dean, former Governor of Vermont, Presidential candidate, founder of Democracy for America and recent head of the Democratic National Committee during the 2006 and 2008 victories, will endorse Josh Skaller for City Council for New York's 39th Council District. He joins State Senator Eric Adams and Assemblyman Jim Brennan in supporting Josh for City Council.

Governor Dean's 2004 Presidential campaign was a turning point for Democratic politics in America. Josh Skaller was an early and enduring supporter of Governor Dean -- the only major Presidential candidate who opposed the Iraq War at that time. When his Presidential campaign ended, Howard Dean converted Dean for America into Democracy for America. Josh Skaller was a co-founder of the New York branch, Democracy for New York City, and remains a Director and activist with the organization.
Governor Dean is one of America’s leading reformers. His campaign married grassroots activism with powerful technology, paving the way for the incredibly successful campaign of Senator Barack Obama four years later. And, as in 2004, Josh Skaller was an early and strong supporter of our new President as well -- the only candidate in this Council contest who can make that claim.
The Skaller campaign is the champion of reform-minded and progressive politics in Brooklyn. Josh Skaller is leading Brooklyn's strongest grassroots campaign with more individual donors than any other Brooklyn-based Council campaign. In addition, Josh Skaller has already been endorsed by reform-minded leaders such as former Congressman Major Owens and New York State Assemblymember Jim Brennan as well as numerous community leaders from across the district.
Josh Skaller is running in Brooklyn’s 39th Council District, which includes all of parts of Park Slope, Kensington, Borough Park, Windsor Terrace and Carroll Gardens
