A Message From Lambda Independent Democrats About September 14 Primary

This comes from Lambda Independent Democrats:

Next Tuesday, September 14, Democrats throughout New York State will go to the polls to select candidates for a wide range of offices. Here in Brooklyn, there are several competitive races that will shape our neighborhoods, our borough, and our state.

We encourage you to find time to volunteer for one of the following candidates endorsed by Lambda Independent Democrats. Now, more than ever, these campaigns need volunteers to knock on doors, make phone calls, and do visibility. Contact information for each campaign is below. Lambda members are hitting the streets, and we hope you will join us!

Lynn Nunes, candidate for the 10th Senate District, Queens

Only 6 days until we can see real change in NY. Tuesday September 14, 2010 is Primary election day. This year we have a chance to make real changes to Albany.

Last winter the NY State Senate voted against giving equal rights to same sex couples in NY State. On Tuesday we have the incredible opportunity to oust one of those Senators who voted no and continues to say she will vote no again.

Lynn Nunes is running in the 10th Senate district in Southeast Queens. He has a progressive agenda that includes ethics reform, increase access to improved education and equal rights for LGBT couples. Lynn is endorsed by Speaker Christine C. Quinn, The New York Times, The Daily News, Citizens Union, ESPA, HRC, NYC Councilmembers Danny Dromm, Jimmy Van Bramer and Rosie Mendez, among many others.

We need to work together to be successful. We need everyone contributing to the effort. Every day for the next 7 days we are phone banking, door knocking and leafleting at subways and supermarkets. We need YOUR help!

Please sign up for as many of the below volunteer opportunities as possible. Email nunes.volunteer@gmail.com or call (917) 744 9194 to sign up for a shift.

Re: A Message From Lambda Independent Democrats About ...

Am I wrong or didn't Lambda also endorse Ralph Profetto running for District Leader in the 60th?

Re: A Message From Lambda Independent Democrats About ...

Yes they did...I included it when I did my endorsement round up. I don't know why they left it out of their email, but it may be they are focusing on what they consider key or maybe closest races. There are several other races they endorsed in that they didn't include in this email (e.g. 10th Congressional race, 52nd Assembly race).
