Eating Ice Cream, Defeating Republicans...MoveOn.org
MoveOn.org is the force Republicans seem to fear most right now, at least that is how I interpret their nearly hysterical whining about MoveOn.org. Want to join in on the MoveOn effort to oust as many Republicans as possible? Here's MoveOn.org's latest GOTV effort:
Can one sundae change the world? Well, no. But 10,000 of them just might. This weekend, MoveOn members are gathering near Brooklyn to enjoy delicious ice cream sundaes and make get-out-the-vote calls to progressive voters in key districts nationwide.
These "taste of victory" phone parties are a fun way to make a direct impact on the coming election. And with only 18 days go and dozens of races down to the wire, this is one dessert you shouldn't skip.

This election is shaping up to be the best shot in a generation to break the Republicans' death grip on power. A new poll from the Wall Street Journal revealed that the only 16% of the public still approves of the Republican Congress—a record low.
Dozens of races no one thought we could win are suddenly on the razor's edge. But the Republicans are spending all the rainy-day funds to flood the airwaves with some of the nastiest personal smear campaigns in the history of politics.
We can beat that, but only if we pour everything we've got into reaching out directly to the most critical voters—those who share our views but may not get to polls without a friendly nudge or two before Election Day. That's what Call for Change is all about.
This weekend's ice cream sundae parties are the perfect way to make these crucial calls, and to have a great time with friends. So come sample the sweet taste of victory, and together we can offer the whole county a double scoop of change come November 7th.
