You are invited! Central Brooklyn's Martin Luther King Holiday Family Celebration will be held at Prospect Heights High School on Monday, January 16, 2006 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
This family celebration of Dr. King's Birthday is sponsored by Congressman Major Owens and the Central Brooklyn Martin Luther King Commission.
There will be performances by the BAM Restoration DANCEAFRICA ENSEMBLE, Double Dutch champions THE JAZZY JUMPERS, and rap artist PAPOOSE. Essays, poetry and art by students from Central Brooklyn schools will also be presented.

DIRECTIONS: Prospect Heights High School is located at the corner of Classon Avenue & Union Street (near the Brooklyn Museum of Art parking lot), Crown Heights, just one block from Eastern Parkway & Washingon Avenue. Take the #2, 3 trains to Eastern Parkway / Brooklyn Museum stop or the #4, 5 to Franklin Avenue. Nearby bus lines are the B45, B71.
