The New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, in response to a series of apparently hate motivated incidents targeting a Hasidic man in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, an African-American man in Flatlands, Brooklyn, and two gay men in Chelsea, is holding a Citywide Summit on Hate Violence.

This Summit is intended to enable representatives from the diverse communities of New York to come together, discuss the impact of hate violence on their communities and to present strategies to counter hate violence and assist its victims.
