Organize NYC: Progressive Political Strategy Meeting

I hold monthly meetings in Park Slope Brooklyn that brings together political organizers from around NYC (including DFNYC folks) to talk, compare notes, collaborate, etc. The agenda varies depending on who shows and what people are working on. At a minimum these meetings are a way of kicking around ideas among progressive organizers. At best these meetings forge genuine alliances and generate real action.

1. mayoral election: getting Freddy Ferrer in and Bloomberg out
2. The Livable NYC Initiative: forming a community-based plan for development in NYC
3. a discussion of the challenges and opportunities facing prgressives in NYC
