We all know that winning back the White House requires winning back Ohio. While 2008 is still three years away, we have an incredible opportunity to reform Ohio’s broken political system right now and start to take back Congress and the White House.

Reform Ohio Now needs your help to Get Out The Vote on four crucial Ohio ballot initiatives that will make government more accountable and elections more trustworthy. These steps are vital if we hope to win seats in Ohio in ’06 or win the White House in ’08.

1. Create a bi-partisan election board. No more Ken Blackwells!
2. Require fair, representative legislative districts. No more gerrymandering.
3. Allow early absentee voting without cumbersome restrictions,
4. Reform campaign finance laws to eliminate corruption and rampant cronyism.

GOTV Cell Phone Banking:

ACT New York will be phone banking every Saturday and Sunday from October 22nd through November 6th. We’ll be calling reform-minded Ohioans to educate them on the initiatives and urge them to vote. We’ll provide you with everything you need to know about the issues. Just bring your fully-charged cell phone and charger and join us from 1PM-6PM as often as you can over those three weekends at the Citizen Action of New York offices - 11 Park Place, Suite 814 (between Church and Broadway, just west of City Hall).
