is a lawyer by training and an opportunist by inclination; not sure that's the right profile for a job that requires a certain degree of numeracy and accounting skills.

Given his track record - running for D.C. school board, the City Council, Brooklyn D.A., Congress, and now, Comptroller - it's kind of difficult to see a common thread, except the obvious one: David Yassky really likes getting elected to stuff, and doesn't really seem to care much what is that he's elected to.
