Who is this guy?
Seriously. His personal story at the end of his speech brought a bit of mist on my cynical eyes. I thought he was great. Please, someone tell me, who is this guy?!?!

It is indeed Ed Ott
...and Ed is a terrific and talented guy, with an interesting CV. He was a factory worker; then union staffer with the old Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers union, where he worked with Tony Mazzochi (of "Silkwood" fame) in starting the stillborn Labor Party. He was a staffer with NYS's Public Employees Federation, then joined the Central Labor Council as its Public Affairs director. He's now the CLC acting executive director, until a new president is chosen. It could be he who gets the post. Or not.
