The wisdom of Ron Paul
"To fix prices at a higher level than they should be is going to compound our problem."
I'd never vote for him thanks to his rabid anti-abortion stance and seriously white supremacist tendencies. Yet when Ron Paul opens his mouth to talk economics, I do listen.
Ron Paul's assessment of the current crisis is very simple : The government wants to fix prices; to keep the prices of housing, of securities and of the banks at their pre-crisis levels. This obviously goes against the "natural" flow of the markets and it's what historically brought us the much invoked "Great Depression". You can keep prices artificially for so long.
In other words, this bail out will accelerate us into another Great Depression. The bail out is not going to get us out of it.

Ron Paul is a good man
Liz,
If you have rock solid proof of your allegations that Ron Paul has "seriously white supremacist tendencies" please email them to me because in my research I have not found any such thing and would like to be aware if that is truly the case. Otherwise, shame on your for being so irresponsible.
Regarding being pro-choice, I am as well. I am also in favor of gay marriage but it is imperative to vote for the best person for the job and not for a party or on single issues. There are critical issues to consider, namely the economy, our foreign policy, and our lost liberties.
Pro-choice/Pro-life won't matter if this country becomes a communist country or crumbles like Rome.
