Unconscionable, but unsuprising
Not suprising that NY1, like the other big media in NY, is uninterested in promoting actual democracy, because let's face it, Hillary being the face of the Dems in 2008 makes for good television, and that will sell more ads for Time Warner and the rest.
It does say something about Hillary that she's quietly running away from a televised debate with a legitimate opponent in her race for US SENATE, just as she will lilely duck debates with the Rethug and Green candidates in October.
NY1, just like the other local stations, as well as the NY Times, has an moral obligation to promote democracy by presenting the views of all legitmate candidates (and by legitamate, I mean everyone who climbs the huge mountain it takes to get on the ballot in NY State). As usual, they are all failing.
