News Flash: Steve Harrison is Not Mentally Ill (A Mea Culpa)

Once again, a link will be sufficient.

[Ed. note: Gatemouth, it is not our job to drive traffic to Room Eight. I'll be polite about it, but if you post here, you'll either post the full piece, in which case you will be subject to editorial discretion, or not at all. Thank you.]

Thanks for the polite warning. Will not do it again, but I would remiss if I didn't remind you of Mole's observation that the pieces I pose bereft of text are among your most heavily trafficked.

Not right now...

Actually, somewhat to my surprise, the little squib I did on FreeRice.com recently is hitting the big time on google and out doing your apologia...or my own rants. Which is nice because it means some people out there may actually be getting fed thanks to that diary.

People tease me about getting you back into blogging. But I'm not ashamed of it. I agree that DG is not in the business to drive business to room 5 or 7 or whatever. So posting nothing but links is frowned on. Hopefully we can work from there...

Whats So's picture

Bouldin, I know you guys

Bouldin, I know you guys have editorial discretion, and the right to choose what gets posted on the website you run, but it seems that if you are going to allow Gatemouth's entries to be on your website, the appropriate place to make your comments is in the comments section.

I'll be the first to say I almost always side with your positions over his, but I would rather read his entries, and your's and mole's comments here than on room8. The discussions you have are very interesting, don't drive him off this site.

If something he posts is really so anti-progressive or against the editorial message of this site, then don't let him post it, or don't move it to the front page of the blog. So far, none of his posts have, in my opinion, crossed that line.

That's So

Thanks. The one piece I actually worried about was the one on Garafalo.

Even if one does not agree with my points about Harrison, the topic is certainly one worthy of discussion on a "progressive" site.

And the topic of Carl Kruger, who seeks to be the next Brooklyn Beep, is one which is long overdue on TDG.

I note that, by Mr. Bouldin's logic, Kruger would be a preferable candidate for Beep than Recchia.

Actually, given that this would remove Kruger from Albany, he might be right.
