Why Barack and Hillary supporters must come together
Today, March 15, is Ruth Bader Ginsburg's 75th birthday. Next month, John Paul Stevens will turn 88. Chances are, the next president will get to name their replacements. Do you want a right-wing-controlled John McCain to be the one?
Yup -- I'm playing the fear card, and I'm fine with that.

Thanks for posting the link
I'd been meaning to increase my Democracy Bond for weeks now, and you just made it easy. The DNC is exceptionally in need of support right now, since there are some Democrats who seem to be still enamored of the 19-state strategy, rather than the 50-state strategy. We should all be giving the DNC (and Governor Dean) a hand.
Let The 2 Candidates Also Come Together
I totally agree with you Dan. I also feel that the 2 candidates need to come together. Right now (and I voted for him) I feel that Obama should win the nomination and the Clinton people should back off and accept the fact that she's not going to be the Presidental nominee. Once they accept that they have to either accept becoming the V.P. and/or do EVERYTHING they can to help get Obama elected. They didn't do much for Kerry in 2004 and that's one of the reasons we lost. Of course, Hillary wanted to run in '08 and they knew if Kerry was elected she would not have any chance to run.
I'm disgusted with all the b.s. coming out of both sides and hope their arguments don't cause us to lose in November. Our party MUST be unified and all of us must work hard to make sure that we have a Democratic President for what you posted and for 1,000 other reasons. That would mean accepting whoever the nominee is and helping them win even if we don't like who they are. The stakes are too high, we know what will happen if McCain wins and let me tell you he'll be even worse that Bush/Cheney. So let's have our disagreements now and vow to help whoever the nominee is after the Convention. Let's also work hard to make sure that the Convention doesn't become a 3 ring circus and disenchant the voters.

McCain is No Conservative
John McCain is no conservative. He's as rightwing as Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller. But then there are many Democrats who feel that anyone to the right of Trotsky is Right Wing. John McCain went out of his way to criticize Bush on many occasions, forming alliances with Democrats along the way. The impending self-immolation of the Democrat Party will benefit Democrats in the long run. It's time to get back to the principles of John Kennedy, Harry Truman and FDR. If the DNC were truly brilliant, they would crawl on hands and knees to Colin Powell and accede to any demands he and Alman might make in order to entice him to be the nominee. The DNC is sorely lacking in gravitas.

So completely agree!!!
Right now it is SO important to support the DNC (remember, that means supporting Howard Dean as well) to make sure we win in November! Unifying in the end is critical.
