It's Squadron's race

Ken Diamondstone has announced that he will not run against Marty Connor this year.

In his press release, Diamondstone said, "I'm not going to engage in a three-way primary that divides the progressive vote. The needs of my fellow constituents are simply too important. Instead, I will be seeking other opportunities to work on behalf of progressive reform for the benefit of all New Yorkers."

Seems like you're insinuating...

...something other than what Ken said. According to Liz Benjamin:

UPDATE: Diamondstone just formally announced he won't enter the 25th SD race and said he has not yet decided whether to endorse either Connor or Squadron.

"I want to learn more about these candidates," said Diamondstone in a press release. "On the eve of a Democrat-controlled Senate and a one-party State, the litmus test for public office can no longer be if candidates espouse progressive principles. It's whether they fight on behalf of the people to put them into action. I vow to hold these candidates accountable."

Sound to me like Ken is pissed off about being pissed on. As I said before, it's hard to blame him.

I'm not insinuating

I quoted directly from Diamondstone's press release. Those are his words, not mine.

The full press release is on the Democracy for NYC website.

The Real Progressive?

Squadron?

Squadron is the vehicle for a revenge campaign, as the disciple of pro death penalty, voted for war in Iraq, voted for defense of marriage, patriot act Chuck Schumer!

Progressive?

They're sure breeding a funny kind of progressive in Brooklyn these days.
