Hillary just can't get a break
Barack Obama announced this morning that he is forming an "exploratory committee," and will announce a final decision about running for President on February 10.
In other (related?) news, Hillary Clinton, freshly returned from Iraq, where she was conveniently out of the country on MLK Day, canceled a 2pm news conference.
Timing is everything.
[Update]: Daily Politics has the video.

Who cares?
I don't. This whole election cycle is personality driven. It's bad enough the news is caught up with Hillary's peccadilloes, Obama's middle name, and whatever the latest twaddle is about Edwards. Hillary needed to go to Iraq to investigate like I need to go to a dictionary to look up the word "triangulate." Her missing a press conference shouldn't matter to Gotham Gazette readers and bloggers, or how Obama got to star in the MLK festivities. Only Las Vegas election handicappers need to worry who's ahead. Or fulltime operatives.
And, no, timing isn't everything. Not now, at least. Hillary will be in and out of the catbird seat, Obama will stumble, Edwards will ....blah blah blah.
It's why I don't read the sports columnists. And it doesn't get better when us politicos do it. If there aren't issues at stake, who cares?
