Grew up in Germany, have been in the US for almost 13 years, 10 1/2 of those in Brooklyn, before that San Antonio, TX (don't worry the narrow mindedness didn't rub up on me.) Married, 2 kids, former translator, now in the process of becoming a professional photographer, which was always my dream but followed mom's advice to follow a more traditional female career path. Now that I am away from Mom's watchful eye, I can do what the hell I please to do, and have realized that "Mom isn't always right," (though I won't share this piece of wisdom with my kids. Have been very active politically in the past 4 years since I can't vote because I am not a citizen, but feel that I have to do something to change the political climate.
I guess this is pretty much everything in a nutshell.
