WHAT: The Little Idea is a short lecture by a single speaker, followed by drinks. No moderator, no long introductions and no Q&A.
WHO: Clay Shirky is an NYU professor, technology analyst and widely cited new media innovator and expert. He wrote Here Comes Everybody: The Power of Organizing Without Organizations, which presciently explained how network technology is revolutionizing our social order through collaborative production and grassroots activism.
Shirky has advised the BBC and the Library of Congress, written for the New York Times, Wired and the Harvard Business Review, worked for several technology companies, and appeared as a popular speaker across the country, from the U.S. Department of Defense to the "Colbert Report."
